Level II CAD Technicians will utilize MicroStation to perform such drafting and design related duties as outlined under Level I technician as well as basic to intermediate engineering design drafting activities as identified below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce mortgage/improvement, NSPS Alta surveys and Acreage surveys and deliverables.
- Calculate construction quantities from computer aided design software.
- Produce topographic contours from collected field data to generate maps that denote specific land or property geographic attributes.
- Develop site plan layouts with dimensioning, distances to established boundaries, and with the understanding of resources for verification of design standards.
- Develop as-builts drawings to a true and accurate representation of the improvements as determined by the collected field data obtained after construction.
- Be knowledge and develop NSPS Alta level survey plats.
- Utility coordination with 811, City and utility providers.
- Understand company CAD software templates and how to use them.
- With guidance utilize civil 3D pipe network to develop storm, water, or sewer system profiles.
- Understand preparation of Elevation Certificates.
- Understand where to locate and utilize TXDOT CAD Standards for design projects.
- Assist with the development of project sheets for layouts and plan and profiles.
- Understand how to use, manipulate and revise Sheet Set Manager on MicroStation.
- Actively pursue NSPS Certified Survey Technician (CST) Level II Certification.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to by you.
- All other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD computer aid drafting software,
- Skilled with a minimum of 1 year of drafting experienced or have obtained a certification in drafting utilizing MicroStation
- Obtained a certification for Level I Technician for NSPS
- Fast learner, team Player, able to work with minimal supervision
- Efficiently schedule and manage his/her time
- Excellent communication skills.
